A journey where tradition becomes a canvas and history becomes art.
Crete holds a deep and enduring heritage, where memory and tradition remain alive in everyday life. In this workshop, artist Myrsini Alexandridi will guide us through a creative exploration that bridges past and present. Together, we will draw inspiration from Cretan symbols, stories, and traditions to shape contemporary forms of expression. Our tools will extend beyond paper: we will paint on tiles and ceramic plates, transforming these timeless objects into vessels of new meaning. This retreat is an invitation to work with memory—to let the roots of the past inspire us as we create something contemporary and personal. Through a balance of individual experimentation and shared exercises, we will discover how tradition can serve as a starting point for fresh visual narratives, carrying history forward through our own hands.
